Neon Lights

Following on from her debut album Mouth Full of Glass, Macie Stewart has shared a cover of the Kraftwerk classic “Neon Lights.”

“Growing up, my family road trip music was always soundtracked by my dad who loved Kate Bush and Kraftwerk among lots of other music I feel lucky to be exposed to.” shares Macie.

“I have vivid memories of listening to “Autobahn” and “Neon Lights” while driving back and forth from Chicago and my grandparents’ home in Tennessee. When I did a west coast tour last spring, we were searching for a cover and Lia Kohl suggested we do “Neon Lights”. It felt like such an obvious choice, and worked really well with cello and harmonized vocals. After playing a show with Jeremiah Chiu in LA and having a long conversation about our love for Kraftwerk, I went back home and recorded this cover- and it felt only natural to ask Jeremiah and Lia to join me on the recording.”

The track is out now and available to listen to on the usual platforms.

Macie returns to the UK and Europe in August for duo shows, including an appearance at End of the Road festival. Tickets are on sale now
