The Saxophones

Resonating between sky and sea, you will hear The Saxophones; the husband-and-wife duo of Alexi Erenkov and Alison Alderdice, whose minimalist after-hours tones will prop you up amidst the darkest corner of a smoky lounge bar. The duo make gossamer, retro chamber pop that combines elements of 1950s exotica, art-noir, West Coast folk and smooth jazz.
Formed in the California Bay Area in the mid-2000s, they released their full-length debut, Songs of the Saxophones, in 2018. The couple further elaborated on their searching, romantic style on albums like 2020's Eternity Bay and 2023's echoey To a Be a Cloud, which was recorded live to tape in a retired church.
